Wondering what’s in store after you decide on a new home? There are a lot of things to consider and you want to make sure you’re ready for every part of the process. From the personalization to the construction, here’s a taste of what you can expect when you find your home here at Snowden Bridge.
Building From the Ground Up
After you’ve found your preferred builder and home design, you still have a few decisions to ensure that you end up with your dream home. One of your first choices will be to pick the homesite where you want to build your new home. Would you rather be in a cul-de-sac or in a more secluded location? Do you want a lot of land for kids or pets to play on? Or is less yard work better for your lifestyle? These are some factors you’ll want to consider when browsing the available homesites.
Another exciting decision is what options and upgrades you’ll want to build into your new home. That’s right, even after you’ve settled on your floorplan, you still have the chance to make adjustments to enhance the design and make it uniquely you. Maybe you want to treat yourself to a deluxe owner’s bathroom with a soaking tub. Or you could want to finish the basement to add more liveable space. Perhaps you want to put an extension on the entire home to bring the square footage up to where you want it. The choice is yours — and your builder will be able to walk you through all the possibilities.
After your contract has been signed, the magic begins. Your dream home can’t be built overnight but you will get a detailed timeline of what you can expect to see month by month. From the groundbreaking to the framing to the insulation and more, your builder will be in close contact with you for updates, photos or videos so you can get the full experience. This way, you can keep track of progress as construction takes place and get excited for all that’s to come. This won’t be all downtime though, this is the perfect opportunity to start going through your belongings and beginning the packing process leading up to your big move.
When construction is complete, you’ll be able to do a final walkthrough with your builder to make sure everything is in order before you move in. After you’ve settled, you’ll still have access to all of your builder’s resources to help make your transition as seamless as possible.
A Shortcut to Your New Home
Love the quality and designs of the new homes here but need to move soon? Our builders — Brookfield Residential, Ryan Homes and Integrity Homes — also offer quick move options that can get you settled in our community in as little as a month! Move-In Ready homes are already finished with some of the most popular design elements. This offers less flexibility on options to personalize, but still gives you all of the style that you’d expect from a new home.
With these home options, what you see is what you get — so you’ll be able to take a tour of the actual home you buy prior to purchasing. But there are only a limited number of Move-In Ready homes available at a given time, so you’ll have to keep a close eye on the home listings and act fast to claim yours. After closing and moving in, you’ll still have all of the builder resources available to you as you get settled into our community.
